Stuff I want for the Chick Fil A Bowl

 • An LSU victory. I don’t like Clemson, they’re like a poor man’s orange version of LSU what with their purple and all. They’re also overrated every year because they have good recruiting classes and then they win a few games in the miserable ACC (losing to Florida State, of course) and end up in a bowl game they don’t deserve. A good butt whoopin’ is in order and the non-orange Tigers are just the team to do it.
 • I want Santa to bring me the LSU stuff that this gal got.
 • I want the LSU marching band in my front yard playing this. I assume the band will be busy entertaining the fans, but this is a wish list, so whatevs.
 • A bag of Chick Fil A sandwiches. I love those things. In fact, I’d eat a hundred of them if someone put them in front of me right now. I should have eaten breakfast…

Brooks Brothers Sale
The Silentist alerted us to a post-Christmas sale Brooks Brothers will be having next week. Starting on Monday, they’re giving the following discounts.

Buy four shirts and get 40% off ($47.70/shirt)
Outerwear 30% off
Footwear 25% off
Casual outerwear 40% off
Sweaters 40% off
Luggage 30% off
Blazers andsport coats 30% off
Suits 30% off

To sweeten the deal, they’re throwing in an additional 20% discount if you shop on Monday. That puts most things around 50-60% off. Pretty fantastic.

If you’re not trolling StyleForum, then you’re probably going to miss stuff like this, which is where I found the information.
Also, I should point out that the extra 20% off is supposedly in-store only. Might want to double-check with your local sales associate about that. My local store rarely has things in my size though (I swear, what’s a guy got to do to find 38Rs in Chicago), but perhaps you’ll have better luck.
As always, I’d highly recommend picking up some of their OCBDs, which are still manufactured in the United States and feel better and better after every wash.

O’Gara & Wilson, Ltd. Chicago’s Oldest Used Bookstore. O’Gara and Wilson traces its lineage back to 1882, when a Mr. Hewitt founded the original bookshop not far from our current location. Hewitt ran the store until the 1890’s, when it became Woodworth’s, a well-known establishment where generations of professors and students did their book buying. After Woodworth the store changed hands again before it was purchased by Joseph O’Gara. A true bookman, Mr. O’Gara, along with his pipe and his cat, Lady Jane Grey, made the store into what Saul Bellow once called the best bookstore in America.
